MY BEAUTY IS POISON is an ongoing series of hand-tufted surrealist self-portrait textile works inspired by and featuring the flame lily, a toxic climbing plant native to Malawi. Exploring power, sensuality, femininity, and myth-making, MY BEAUTY IS POISON depicts nighttime portraits and scenes, carrying the viewer through a journey of violence, vengeance, and a return to the self.
